Why Summit?

Summit Strength and Fitness was founded in 2016 by Keith Kubiesa—known to many as Coach Kubi—as a space where people of all ages and abilities could strengthen their bodies and elevate their climbing skills. Simply put, he built the gym he wished had existed during his own journey as a passionate outdoor athlete.

Kubi has been an avid climber since 2012, exploring routes across the country. Before that, he spent over a decade snowboarding throughout North America, starting in 2002. The insights gained from these experiences have shaped his approach to coaching and athlete development. Over the years, he has worked with organizations such as the University of Wisconsin Climbing Team, coached the Tyrol Basin Snowboard Team for 10 seasons, and trained athletes at the renowned Windells Academy.

At Summit, Kubi has assembled a team of expert coaches with similar backgrounds—deeply experienced in outdoor sports and committed to helping others reach their full potential.

Our coaches bring years of real-world experience from both indoor gyms and outdoor crags across the country. Youth Climbing Team

Encourage your child to fall in love with climbing! Summit offers the best team environment for kids to learn, practice, and perform, no matter their current ability or age. During practice, youth work on improving their climbing movement and fitness with their peers. They also become part of a group that’s inclusive and focused on boosting mental and physical strength.
