Recover better after intense training sessions with this Burger Bowl recipe.

Putting in the hard work at the gym our out on the trails is only a fraction of the work to making gains. The other parts of your success to becoming a stronger healthier individual lies in how you recover and what you eat. Getting the proper amount of sleep, supplements where needed, ice baths, stretching, etc are all part of recovery. What helps all those things, and in my opinion the most important piece of the gains puzzle is your nutrition. So dont cut your self short on those gains after a hard workout and recover better after intense training sessions with this burger bowl recipe.

Ingredients
For the Bowls:

  • 1 lb ground beef; 80/20 lean fat ratio
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Salad Base:

  • 4 cups mixed greens (lettuce, spinach, arugula, etc.)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup pickles, chopped
  • Cheese to taste 

For the Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instruction

  1. Prepare the Beef Patties:
    • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix until well combined.
    • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  2. Cook the Beef Patties
  3. Prepare the Dressing:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
  4. Assemble the Burger Bowls:
    • Add mixed greens to bowl 
    • Add toppings of choice
    • Add the sliced beef patties to each bowl.
    • Add the dressing 
  5. Serve
